Match Winning Innings of Inzi ?

Inzamam 116* against ZIM at Harare in 1995, chasing 209 when 3 of pakistan's top order had gone for a duck....

Inzamam 116* against SL at Kimberley in 1998, chasing a tough target of ~300, and that too better than a run-a-ball....

Inzamama's 81 against IND at Toronto in 1998, setting India an out-of-reach 257, coming in at 40 and making sure Pak crossed well over 200....

Inzamam's 91 against IND at Bangaalore in 1999, coming in at 28 runs and taking Pak to around 250 before being run out courtesy of Azhar Mahmood who was sleeping when Inzi made the run call....

Inzamam's 107 against IND at Sharjah in 1999, coming in again at a score of around 50 and staying at the crease till Pak had crossed 270 in the last over, and thus making sure they end with a big score....

Inzamam's 81 against AUS at Headingley in 1999 WC, coming in at #5 with a score of less than 50, and joining razaq to lift pakistan to 275, and setting a challenging target, and againt wasim causes a run out by taking off when inzamam lay at his crease after taking fleming's delivery on his toe....

Inzamam's 121* against IND at Sharjah in 2000, coming in at a score of 55 in the 13th over, and then not only glueing himself to the crease but also making the score tick on with 5 SIXES and a better than run-a-ball 100.... the innings was such a masterly display that even waqar's 5-for cud not snatch away the MoM award....

Inzamam's 83* against SL at Galle in 2000, scoring more than half of the runs in a lost effort when no one accompanied him at the crease (waqar's 22 was the second highest score) and setting up a low target for SL to take the match with more than 7 overs to spare....

Inzamam's 85* against NZ at Sharjah in 2000, in a low-scoring match (~130) where the 3 top order batsmen had been skittled for <10 runs each....

Inzamam's 118* against SL at Sharjah in 2001, guiding a new-comer to a well-made 100 and at the same time getting his own century, coming in again when the top-order had set him no ground to fire from....

hmm.....all match winning innings are from 90s till 2001. Also this could also match Salim Malik and Ijaz Ahmed's match winning performances any day. Twelve years is a big period. The main thing is most of the time when the batting lineup is collasped and we need someone to stay on wicket, Inzi, Yoyo and Yonis Khan are failed. Most of the Time! I mean come on, who do we rely on then? I must say we see Razzler, Moin and even Akhtar playing that role what should been a middle order job. Its a continous failure. Our Mediocre middle order. One would be duck and others in 10/20/30ish. We don't see 50s coming out of middle order very often. Do we ?

So naive of you, :disgust:
Your post is so weird, 1st you enquire about some thing and when people rply to you then you come out with your real intentions of “Inzi Bashing” . Its quite clear that you dont like Inzi, but you or the SA press media can not change for what he is ( One of the greatest player of the decade). Despite all this you still need prove :frusty2:

Well how do you intend to satisfy yourself ? need help :smack2:

Wait a minute !!! Compare them with What ,?wat’r you talking about.
Its cricket my dear… You can not compare analysis of a player to detrmine teams win or lose on any given day (other wise Afridi would not be playing at all in this game).
The truth of the matter is that from day 1 Inzi has been the favorite of Tony Greg and Gavaskar who clearly think that Inzi is the “Most poweful hitter of the ball” some thing to do with his physic and height.
Yes..I Inzi might not be a good captain but its pre-muture to say that.
But he’s a darn good player that a side can have. ( only that he should avoid his toooo laaaate cutss, it does’nt help him)

:jhanda:

O bhai chill karo!

No question about his skill and him being the most powerful hitter of ball. If you read my first post you will see I mention it. I am just saying that he didn't live upto his potential. He could have been far more effective had he been delivering more consistently. Therefore he falls in the second line of great batsmen like Salim Malik, Ijaz Ahmed and several others that Pakistan has been producing since 50s. But he is not the class of Miandad and Zaheer Abbas for various reasons. I have mentioned them in my post. The stats are also support my points. He could have been a killer of fast bowlers as I have not seen a batsman better than him playing the fast bowlers with ease.

don’t know if any 1 has mentioned it but wat about inzi’s recent match winning knock in the test match against the boundous in his home town of multan, pakistan where he single handedly won the test match for us scoring 138* when the boundous were gonna humiliate us badly, inzi’ stood tall and came through a winner

:flower1: inzi’s 138* :flower1:](http://in.sports.yahoo.com/030906/137/27lxe.html)
