vettori's batting was a delight to watch, i saw the last 4-5 over or so and dannie was throwing vaas around like crazy, 3 consec 4s, he took a single off the first ball of the last over, if he stuck around def. 50 was gona be up for him, he fell 4 short of his fifty, nonetheless in the end a great performance

Not only the above, but him and Patel also managed to pick up Muralitharan’s doosra quite well, which added into the mix.
Had Vetorri moved up the order ahead of McCallum and Oram, he certainly would have capitalized on opportunities such as this to convert small scores into huge ones in the end. Very positive cricket in the end by this smart and thinking cricketer. Always looking out for singles, rotating the strike, ticking the scoreboard along. “A delight to watch” as you mentioned.

Yeah what a non-contest. The match was effectively decided at the half-way stage after NZ were bundled out for 165. I think it has something to do with the luck and unpredictability factor of one-day cricket. Most sides collapse like this from time to time. WI against Australia (DLF Cup Final) and SLA (CT 2006) and PAK v England (5th one-dayer) are other recent instances that spring to mind.
Hope Pakistan don't go off the boil in their remaining games against NZ and SA
