Karbala did not occured at the time of MOhammad and Prophet did not performed this ritual.
There is no addition in Islam, you can't say if Prophet was here he would have alowed us to do this thing. Islam is complete and ANYTHING you add into it is hell fire for your self. I have said it many times, opinion of your Imaams or my Imaams does NOT count when it comes to Islam. ONly thing that counts is QURAN and sunnah of Prophet.
Can you prove to me from QURAN if causing harm to ones body is alowed by Allah? Thanks.

Hey watcher how can you say doing Matam is not right. When Hazrat Humza (as) Hazoor's chucha got shaheed in a jung and all the so called muslims ran away from hazoor the rumour got around in Mecca that Hazoor (pbuh) has got shaheed.
The next morning once Hazoor (pbuh) along with Hazrta Ali (as)and few TRUE SAHABA (r.a) came to Mecca and found everyone including BIBI fatima (as) crying he said "Do the seena zanni (matam) for humza".
Look through in history book u got under the chapter Jang-e-Ohad and if you dont find it let me know.

Shah jahan, your the one practicing something out side the fold of Islam. I nor cause my body harm when I griev for someone in love or in their death. I don’t do that. Because it is forbidden in QURAN.

Lets just assume that they did matam with beating of the chest..
I saw a video clip from Iran where a man was hitting his own and his 2 or 3 year old son's head with a 'ustara' the old barber' blade...
another man had a sword that he was hitting on his head..
then about fifteen people were beating themselves with chains with blades and knives.
Ok.. I understand that you are carrying on the traditions of your fathers (forebears) ..
and beating the chests shows your feelings remembering the events of karbala..
but the ustara, the sword - and the chains with blades.. that I cannot understand.

Beating your chest is OK but all of us have to remember that Blood is Haram and we should donate our blood instead of wasting it!

X-com, they believe in their Imaams rather than what Mohammad said.
Their Imaams says they know the future, but Allah says in quran only he(allah) knows the future(unseen).
Prophet said I am leaving 2 things behind QURAN and HIS EXAMPLE his SUNNAH. Family was later added by shias just to differ and follow their own desires. They clame they love family of the prophet, yet they curse his wives.
And what makes u sure Holy Prophet said sunnah instead of ahleybait,
did he leave a book with all his sunnah's to follow, I personally don't curse his wives I do respect his other wives like Bibi khadeeja, Bibi Ummeh Salmaa, besides Ayesha who disobeyed what Quran asked her too do
as in ayaat 32 of surah 33, and went to battle against Hazrat Ali A.S which led to the death of a lot of fellow muslims
