^ I agree, while some of the characters are pretty unrelatable to us, such ppl do exist! like i had an epiphany recently that ibad is EXACTLY like this guy who used to study with me:p and ibad's dad is exactly like that guy's mom.
i really enjoyed today's episode. loved the scenes between ibad and his mom. It was also fairly clear in today's episode that Adam's frustration is going to lead him to do something scary.
btw WHAT is it with farhat ishtiaq and killing characters? she uses death to get rid of characters she is done with or to add twists to the story line, which just exposes her weakness as a writer.
^ I love your analysis but wow you are over critical to Farhat Ishtiaq, come on give the poor woman a break, its only her 2nd serial an it IS going to take her sometime to mature as a script writer and join the league of Umera ahmad etc
Watched 2 epsiodes and completely lost interest after that. they were slow and very boring! I have read the novel which was just ok in my opinion... the screenplays are always never as good...but expected better from from MJ...no chemistry b/w haania and ibad and they arent looking good on the screen either...
I want to shoot the person who casted adeel and sarwat together.. even sanam would've been a better choice with adeel. They were both standing in the hospital together and they didn't look bad together. Sarwat's acting is so blah
In this past episode, after Ibad & Haniya's nikah, they go see granny in the hospital. What on earth is Kathy wearing? I mean more specifically what was around her neck?
I thought Sarwat looked really pale and gaunt in this episode and much much older than Adeel. Even Adeel is looking a bit off...Sure you need actors who are good at acting but they need to be easy on the eye, and for me these two just aren't, although I did like them in Daam and Malaal.
I gave up on Neeyat after about 4 episodes because there were other good dramas on at the time. The only reason I'm still watching this is because there is not much else around. It feels like Mehreen Jabbar dramas are slowly but surely being killed off by poor choice of stories and casts. I am anxiously waiting for the next Sarmad Khoosat venture now after being thoroughly disappointed by MJ.....I truly think she has let down her fans :(
^ yes Sarwat is looking really "old" with bags under her eyes - bad makeup? Don't know what the deal there.
Adeel is acting well but as you said not the "handsome guy" looks that makes me want to watch him and their couple doesn't look good at all.
Casting the right people to play the main hero and heroine does matter.
I for one am not feeling anything for the two of them. Sarwat looked quite drab as the dulhan on her nikaah day. Even her sister was looking better wearing something bright!
Maybe the 2nd half would be better after all the "deaths"
I don't have high hopes for the 2nd half, but clearly we are still willing to give it the benefit of the doubt because of Mehreen Jabbar. If it was by someone else we wouldnt have bothered even with the 9 episodes...:)
With Sarwat' drained look, it can't be the Makeup because mama jaani and Sanam's makeup is actually quite nice.
With Khirad and Ashar I could feel butterflies in my stomach...with Haniya and Ibad I almost feel like breaking my tv so I dont have to see their forced romance :(
