thanks Umar bhai! your insight has always been helpful for me but the interesting thing is that some australian universities for which I have searched especially university of melbourne, they do not require any experience for MS in Fm whereas for MS in finance, they require at least two years of work experience........ interesting na! But I think an MS in fm is more suitable for me as my previous background is also in management (BS in business administration)...... and I dont like to be a quant and limit my career to finance only (as you have described in M.Fin post)
I am trying to get a job and apply for rather an MBA directly after gaining few years of work experience, but it all depends whether I will get a suitable entry level finance job with some good company or at least some private bank........... I have been trying for past four months now since my graduation but all my efforts have landed nowhere, if this remains the case then I will have to opt for an alternative MS degree.
Further the present circumstances of our country (Pak) and certain family pressures also demand from me to move to australia as soon as possible and settle there for a lifetime after completing my degree and some people have already told me that if you are to wait here for two more years then you will have not this opportunity to be granted a PR or residentship as it is in present time scenario........ as the aussie govt. policies might change.........
So keeping all these facts in mind what would you suggest me Umar bhai???
