Am I the only one who thinks that Aisha Khan didn’t pull of the role of Samina? Her acting seems so rehearsed and with an obvious try hard factor in the way she speaks as a Sindhi girl with rural background. I think she’s at her best when playing a well mannered, well spoken, educated and demure girl. She brings certain artistic touch and depth in your usual bewildered and sad heroine. I have no problem with artists lot trying something different, in fact I look forward to it, but seriously that whole drama is so tastelessly done. Of all the senior actors, they chose Abid Ali to play the role of out of control womaniser, that alone makes the drama look so tasteless and borderline disgusting. I can’t stand him as an ugly perverted old man trying to use and abuse too beautiful young ladies.
Someone like Asif Raza or Shabir Jaan would’ve added some thrill as oppose to Abid Ali.
I’m getting tired of seeing tiresome dramas with such crude concepts that’s made even worse by lazy scripts and exaggerated characters.
i completely agree with your review of this drama. it is indeed a very boring drama. no grip on anything. just some evil ppl trying to turn over other ppl's life, and they are accomplishing in their acts too.
the reason abid ali is in the main role is because he directed the serial. most of the dramas i have seen from that production company runs by mukhtar ahmed has the same effect. the story is always overly complicated without any reason at all.
I think Aisha Khan is acting really well. Yeah the accent is weird, seems like a mixture of few different ones and does seem fake most of the times but over all she sets really well in her role.
However I agree that Abid Ali's role should have been played by someone else. It's so odd to see him being involved in those extra marital affairs.
