Massacre of Hazaras

Re: Massacre of Hazaras

Was I defending Malik Ishaq’s release, or lamenting the pathetic prosecution that we have? The argument that the CJ knows he is a killer is not enough. If we want law and order to prevail, then we have to give criminals their day in court as well. Otherwise, whats wrong with the military taking over and doing things their way?

Whats pathetic is that the CJ has had to take suo moto of things as petty as individual murders, and as broad as mass murders. If the govt cannot do its job, then it should simply resign. The govt needs to realize that this is a difficult situation Pakistan is in, and it has to make difficult decisions. But all they have been worried about is maintaining coalitions and buying votes. It is their apathy to the ground realities that has brought Pakistan to the brink.

We are actually at the stage where people are calling for arming themselves against the terrorists, as the govt has no will to do so. These are the first signs of anarchy/civil war.
