Assalam o alaikum
I want to know what shariah say recommend abbout marriage functions- Like
in my opinion the marriage ceremony in islam consist of
1-Nikkah and then rukhsati from brides house- No rukhsati from hotel waghaira
2- Masnoon walima after 1/2 days - in which not only your close relatives / friends are invited but also pious and fuqarra are also invited
so whats your take on this

Sounds ideal. Rukhsati from home…a simple affair, followed by a proper party

Why can't you do it from a hotel?
Did they have sheratons and hyatt's back then?
