Masculine clarification

.

I guess no one is forcing us to do anything. They read something, which they thought, was contradicting to what was told/said, so they thought of discussing it with us.

hahahahaha

love it

i thought women normally didn’t like their period :konfused:

oh don’t ya kno?

errrmrmmmmmm insult coming onnnnn…
ahhhhh forget it…it’s not worth it

Miss Mohabbat - You have let men decide these things for you for centuries and you lot have basically followed every edict without any debate. Now if some guy is sharing his limited research with an audience mainly to get academic opinions, you have a problem with that.

OR

maybe it's just that you didn't know what the Quran said about this subject and now are upset with yourself for following the mullahs blindly.

ur so cute Miss_Mohabbat

This is the one area in which you men should not and do not have an input, we allow you to dictate how we dress, what we should cook, how to raise our children, what to say, how to clean the house, whether or not we should work, but, this...oh my goodness...get a grip, ur a man! this is, to put it simply...none of ur buisness.

Do men actually do that? boss around women in doing simple things? I've never witnessed it before in my life.

MM, I don't know which specific post you are talking about, but I don't think men tell you do those things during the menstrual cycle, they simply share what they know about this subject that can help females to reduce the pain, stress, or whatever and I don't think you should get mad about it because no one is forcing you to follow that. There are many things in life that we don't like, but that does not mean we should argue on each one of them. Sometimes we just have to read selectively and do what our mind tells us to do and ignore what's irrelevant to our minds. They are saying this in general, not by PMing you personally. Were they telling "you", a single girl, then I see you have the right to get mad because no one can tell "you" what to do and what not to do.

One valid point has been made here. Yes, in every individual woman's life, she makes her own decisions when it comes to menstruation. Yet, if you look at it on the broad scale - men were the ones to make the edicts about a woman's religious behavior during her days. Woman were not the ones behind the decision, as far as the records show. And yet, women have been operating on advice that is based upon what the opposite gender came up with.

So, an inquiry into whether these religious rulings are a subtle way of discarding women's presence in Islam or if they are solely meant for the comfort of a woman is valid. Instead of hammering men for raising the subject, why not acknowledge that someone is raising the topic at least. Whether they be male or female.

As far as the decisions about the religion are concerned, going to masjid while menstruating, praying during the cycle, and all that, I've posted a question in funguy's thread. Let's see what people answer.

Re: Masculine clarification

aray karnay dai naa yaar. its always good to seee men feeling for women and with such ferocios passion (criminal mullahs :rotfl: ), even when they r totally off-track.

Uff u people will talk on ANYTHING. :) Good God girls, have a bit of dignity and quit mentioning times of month and engaging/starting such topics.

:) These two topics were so funny.

^ Why avoid the topic? As long as its done in a MATURE manner, I dont see any harm. I'm relieved that people have at least come to the point that they are raising the topic.
