On holiday i went to someonez house and they had made massar ki biryani (yes the daal Masar). It had keema, massar and achar.. It was really tasty.. Does anyone know how to make it?

this sounds like "qubuli" a hyderabadi dish that is made...I make this all the time, however i use chana dal with keema only. and do u mean achar on the side or mixed with the rice?

This stuff is GOOD.
I think the one with masoor daal + keema is called mughlai khichri.
I've had the masoor daal biryani alone, and it is fingerlicking good. Basically the masoor daal is prepared with biryani masala like meat is, and then layered.

Yeah the one I had, the achar was mixed within the biryani..

do you mean green lentils? My mum makes that, by layering keema, daal and rice. Its really lovely.
