For the basic masalas such as red chili, zeera, dhaniya, haldi, garam masala, do you make it at home or buy packaged ones? Which brand do you prefer? I am not a fan of Shaan or National so looking for some suggestions. Thank you.

Buy the packed ones and I get Shan as in Australia we dont have national, otherwise i will go for national. However I also sometimes get Lazziza’s. I dont like Indian Red Chillies masalas at all

my Bhabhii gets it from India…whoever comes from India or whenever one of us goes to India [a few time in a year] brin gs the masalas. 
it’s pure and freshly hand made in a mortar. taste a million times better!

Garam masala home made, haldi and chilli are brought from desi store and I think is National. jeera and daniya seeds are brought too but go for which ever is clean and not brand

Yar I dont know where do you live. Here in UK, I buy TRS masalas. They are quite good to taste.

But yes, when it comes about garam masala, I make it fresh at home but again, the cumin seeds, cloves, black pepper and all possible ingredients for garam masala are TRS Brand.
