Its common, but its meaning and pronunciation is different from Punjabi. Heer is Punjabi means heera (diamond), while Heer in Sindhi pronounced as Heer'a meaning refreshing and soothing air ( Bad e Naseem in Urdu).
Traditionally, as per folklore, NA 237 belongs to Sassi, as Bhanbhor is not far from Thatta :)

today's Sassi ( Culture Minister) did good job ( though a lot to be done) in reviving Bhanbhor which included setting up museum in new building, building rest house and arranging Bhanbhore International Conference. She also played vital role in publishing new editions of classic Sindhi literature at affordable prices. Attempts were made to revive historical places of Sindh like Makli, Kot Deji, Khudabad, etc
I just hate PPP for their pathetic performance, but Sassi did a good job, so I would like to see a person as committed as attached with land like Sassi, to be the Cultural Minister of Sindh.

itt is a pleasant surprise when sum1 praise PPP MP for their work .......... if she has done a gud job she must be appreciated .
but still i think marvi memon is a better choice for National Assembly.

actually, we have lost courage/ stamina/ what ever you call it to give credit where its due. One of the Ministry under PPP doing well (reasonably good) was culture Ministry of Sindh and I did benefited from the steps taken by the ministry, both in terms of tourism as well as literature. So, I don't feel awkward to acknowledge that.
I also appreciate Marvi as a modern and educated lady from Sindh and no doubt she is capable and willing of doing good work if provided with opportunity. Hopefully PML(N) sympathies with people of Sindh are not limited this time to the extent of winning election as PML(N) has not a positive rapport with people in rural Sindh in past.

this mis trust and bigotory against punjabi's was inculcalated in rural sindhis by ZA bhutto.
but i think nwaz doing a good job by engaging all the anti PP camp throughout the sindh . proposig palejo name as PM was symbolic yet an important step in this regard.

only time will tell how nawaz Sharif and his party remove mistrust created earlier. In his last two tenures, funding for many projects were stopped, which provided opportunity to PPP to claim that they are the only wali waris of Sindh.
