Marvi, a girl from 14th century’s Thar (beautiful desert in Sindh), is the symbol of patriotism and simplicity in Sindh’s culture. The poor girl was abducted by the King Umer Soomro, who tried to make her happy for all worldly things and luxuries, but she kept on missing her people, her village Malir and simple lifestyle of her parents. She requested Umer Soomro that if she died in his custody, send her dead body to Thar for by getting buried in her land she would live forever.
