i have heard many times kuffar being given the title martyr if they die in battle but i thought non-muslims can’t be called shaheed or martyrs wat’s the story, kindly explain
In addition to what "let uz chat" has asked, I would really like to know what constitutes "Sabil Allah", I think that will help us understand the concept of Martyr or Shaheed.
a hindu can call himself living martyr..does it make him?? i dont think so. so brother people can call any one a shaheed..but only allah knows who is a shaheed and who is not
and second question
once a companion asked the prophet (SAWS) ya rasull allah, SAWS a person fights for fame, another one fights for spoils of war, and another one fights to show off his bravery..who is fighting for allah...the prophet SAWS said who fights for the cause that allah's word be supreme fights for sabil allah
so your intent has to be to make sure islam reigns supreme..all other intentions are not sabil allah
