But i think in a way this is better than Sham democracy, with hundreds of Wazirs and Musheers, eating up billions of Rs, when they are good for nothing except for giving an semblance of democracy.

Democracy is better then no democracy... Even if its a sham, atleast there is a place for the opposition and civilians to air their differences etc.
In country like Pakistan, with so many different dynamics playing out at the same time, the country could never afford martial law.
Politicians, civil society, religious fanatics would all be up in arms and life would never be normal.

Martial Law is the worst form of government. Martial Law means absolute power and MQM type terrorist parties. I must say even weakest democracy voted by the people (of course not headed by army chief, which I consider same as military government) is much better than the stronger military government due to above reason. If you want to have better leadership in the country let the democracy take its roots and do the screening process coupled with totally independent judiciary.

I do not think so. Most of them are influential in their areas - they will again become lotas and will probably join PML N again.

In is very unfortunate that we received even dictators that are do numbers. Hypocrats, liers, greedy - who joined forces with the most corrupt in order to legitimize their farce govts. Malasia and others at least got eik number dictators..
