Its a very tough thing and a very personal choice I think...because even if a cousin-marriage results in a child with a learning disability that has abso-freakin-lutely nothing to do with inter-marriage, it will still be blamed on inter-marriage by those who don't understand learning disabilities and their cause(s). My eldest has some learning delays and I am NOT related in any way to my hubby (I'm a gori) so of course, there are all kinds of speculation about well, she's a gori, she probably drank while pregnant or took drugs etc etc....its very maddening. EVERY conception has risks and every child is different. Love the child you are gifted with, thats all I can say...and as far as what OTHERS say about it - fukkem. (pardon my french)
