In our Desi culture, there is stigma attached to women marrying past the age of 25 . She is considered, old, on the shelf and other things and ineligible . Or what is wrong with her?

A man on the other hand is considered eligible no matter what his age .

If I am not mistaken there are more boys than girls there then why do many people act like there are many girls per guy and guys are looking for more than they have to offer in return? I have seen much older guys getting married to younger girls.
