Does it make you more productive earlier? Do you end up being more successful at work?
I’m only now getting my motivation back to really live life and excel at work, after I’ve met someone. Last few years has been all about just dragging my ass to get through work.

i don’t know if it does or doesn’t but it shouldn’t. your productivity and enthusiasm to work should not be affected by anyone except yourself.. unless i’ve read the question wrong..

Life doesn't stop for the single, for those who are unhappily married, childless, or divorced. A person can dive into their work to escape problems or be consumed by them and become less productive. A person who has it all can slack off and become careless.

As long as he supports your work and encourages you, both the things can excel :) But before you get too involved find out his views over you continuing working. when you're falling in love with someone everything goes in background, but after the honeymoon phase is over you realize.
