An age difference will affect your relationship if YOU let it.
The usual desi convention is that guy should be 3-6 years older than the gal but because girls are more mature.
But if you click with the woman - who cares about age?

Not sure how to react to the comments on here .. Being in my late twenties.. I find the guys who seem to want my attention are relatively younger than me..
I wouldn't class myself as immature and I look a little younger than normal 29 yr olds but seem to have early 20 year olds wanting to know more..
I still think younger men are more immature and aren't so sure of what they want
I must agree that I fit into the category of women who at this age knows what she wants, wants to have a good relationship but looking to settle down and have kids in a couple of years..

I have usually gotten younger guys proposing as well...it used to baffle me before but now I take it as a compliment. :)

i would not mind a older women if she is a genuinly better girl than her youngers, which is difficult to find nowdays.
However the biological clock thing is also something to consider, and many people tell me women age quicker and that girl would in no time end up looking like my mum.

and NJ, I didnt pass the girl just cos of the age, there were some other issues.
She was extremly arabish looking and beautiful though.
It is common knowledge that girls mature faster than those of the opposite sex. There is no way you can compare the mentality and vision or expectations of a 20 year old lady to that of a 20 year old boy. I know there are exceptions to the case, but that is all they are ..... exceptions. I cannot begin to imagine myslf dating a guy who is exactly my age mate or even a mere year older. It becomes painfully obvious therefore that dating a younger guy is alarmingly out of the question. No offence meant but guys usually have a lot of growing up to do. So much so that it lasts some of them their lifetime. For those who can handle it and have the required tolerance level for it, by all means, have fun, but as for me........ thanks but no thanks.
Agreed with this....but I would like also to add that times have changed.....girls are more out going specially here and are more into sports and fun things then before, it is easier to get along and find common ground even if husband is few months to 2 years younger.

That's what I was actually refering to amir_pindi! Since if your in ur early twenties and she is in her late twenties.. the older you delay to have children. The more chances of genetic defects occuring in your children - Allah reham karay! Maybe thats why people of similiar/younger age should marry?
Apparently women do age faster as they enter their thirties and your five/seven years behind, would people say is that your wife or your mother (not saying people opinions count, it's what you think about your wife.. but you would think about it though wouldnt u?!.. Im not saying I put looks first, its just it is going to be a practical factor in the future. You want to be with her for life innit not just for a couple of years until everything starts to develop lines... lol
Obviously alot of factors count when marrying someone, but if you marry an older woman.. you are more likely to die early according to a news article I came across! How did they figure that one out? If anyone wants to read the article I'll post it.. pretty good laugh.

^ And if u marry a 10yrs younger woman chances are she'll be 'alone' (as in no-one to be intimate with) for the last fifteen/twenty odd yrs of her life cos men tend to die earlier (at least in the west)..

Well That is the article. I do not understand how they came to such conclusions.. given all the factors. Since all people are different, surely this cant be accurate?
