Does anybody know if u can cancel ur spouse greencard after 6yrs of marriage or after divorce ??? the guy went back to his country not payin child support and thinks he can come back in the future cuz he got his greencard. plzz help does anyone know about this case…???

The wife should really consult an attorney. Once she is officially divorced, she will be able to apply for benefits that would likely not be available to someone still married. What the guy did is considered abandonment, the divorce should go thru easily, the courts will establish what he should be paying as child support and he will be eventually registered as a "deadbeat dad". Once he re-enters the country, he may or may not lose his green card but he will be at the very least, slapped with all the back payments of child support and his wages garnished for those payments.

God that sounds awful marryin some1 for their residence, payin no child maintenance then swanning back in to the country just cos uv got a green card . I agree go and see a solicitor and find out what ur rights r.

speak with a lawyer. for sure when he comes back he will owe a lot of money for child support and perhaps even for spousal support.
As for his green card, yea u can loose permanent residency in the US for lots of reasons. sometimes misdemeanors, and other slight crimes. they have things like crimes of moral turpitude etc, which are fairly vague "crimes" so u should speak with a lawyer in terms what can be done to have his permanent residency revoked. its kinda evil but u can do it, i think. Green cards are not as "permanent" as ppl think they are. The DHS still hasa lot of clout and can revoke....i am pretty sure, but yes ..lawyer is the best solution. also just so that u can put in all the paper work so the minute he steps into the country they are like...umm..yea here's papers, u owe this much money etc. u can get his checks straight from his employer, and if he uses that card, which he will toget a job, u can get the money...

after a certain number of years the greencard that someone gets through marriage becomes non conditional. i.e. its no longer dependant on the two people being married.
Now you have an option to try and convince authoities that he was in the marriage ust for greencard and as soon as teh condition was lifted he bailed. I dont know what the success of that argument would be though.
The guy should not be left off the hook for child support though, the sooner he is hit with it, the bigger issues he is going to face. Back payments and all that.
You have to get your timing right though, because they calculate child support on many factors including the person's current income. so if he is not making a lot of money in Pakistan, while he would still be liable for paying a minimum (which can be quite a bit if he is earning in pakistani rupees). Versus if he comes to US and then starts working then from a child support point of view, you may get a bigger check.
I can understand the motivation for vengeance and to get him thrown out of the country and all, balance that with the child support he would have to pay so the child can have a better life.
Talk to a lawyer, figure out the different options and see what gives you the biggest benefit.
