David Vitter, a Republican Senator who is married and has a child has admitted to sleeping with a hooker (not his first time) after his phone number was found on a list produced by a “DC Madam”. The Republican party once again showing that hypocrisy is a cornerstone of it’s foundation, Vitter did after all take over a Republican Senators seat after that Senator (Bob Livingstone) had to step down due to his own sex scandle.
…
Vitter on the “sanctity of marriage” in 2004:
“This is a real outrage. The Hollywood left is redefining the most basic institution in human history, and our two U.S. Senators won’t do anything about it.
We need a U.S. Senator who will stand up for Louisiana values, not Massachusetts’s values. I am the only Senate Candidate to coauthor the Federal Marriage Amendment; the only one fighting for its passage. I am the only candidate proposing changes to the senate rules to stop liberal obstructionists from preventing an up or down vote on issues like this, judges, energy, and on and on.” stated David Vitter.
In 2006, Vitter told reporters that “the existence or non-existence of a stable, loving, two-parent household” is the most significant predictor of success in life, and conceded that infidelity contributes to the breakdown of traditional families. This is what makes the revelations interesting. Vitter shamelessly got on his high horse, condemning those he deemed morally inferior, despite engaging in the same “anti-family” behavior he claimed to abhor. And in the process, he lied, repeatedly, to the public about his own failings. Indeed, during his Senate campaign, a member of the Louisiana Republican State Central Committee said publicly that Vitter had carried on a lengthy affair with a prostitute in New Orleans’s French Quarter. Vitter called the allegation “absolutely and completely untrue” and dismissed it as “just crass Louisiana politics.”
Vitter’s wife, Wendy, was asked in 1998 what she would do if her husband strayed. “I’m a lot more like Lorena Bobbitt than Hillary,” she said. “If he does something like that, I’m walking away with one thing, and it’s not alimony, trust me. I think fear is a very good motivating factor in a marriage.”
Re: Married Republican Senator David Vitter Sleeps with Hookers
Queer, I am not defending Vitter... I am just pointing out that it is hollow coming from a clinton supporter. Knwoing fully well that slick willy was enjoying a "hummer" while attending a conf call with the senat intelligence comitte...and who is to say that he did not visit prostitutes in his day at Arkansas?
Re: Married Republican Senator David Vitter Sleeps with Hookers
It’s obvious that the insidious influence of gay marriage has futher degraded marriage as an institution. :halo:
Didn’t this guy get elected saying there is no more important issue than to preserve the sanctity of marriage? The hollow preaching of morals and ethics from the self righteous right is sickening.
