Problem is that guys dont know any better. They are forced to believe that first night is the performance night. Even if they know that they have a choice of not going all the way on the very first night, how would they know if they should or should not. I mean dulhan is not going to tell him, right? That unknown factor (that D6C mentioned) just adds to the pressure.
