Married guppies ONLY

Re: Married guppies ONLY

You gals have just taken the discussion to a totally different direction. Mehru serves you right for limiting the discussion only to "woman". :-p

Anyway, marriage means two people, and a married guy can give you as much information about time it takes to conceive.

Basically, it depends. It can be as early as the first month or it can take years. If you were using birth control pills, it may take a few weeks/months before the effects wears off and you'd be able to conceive. Assuming both of you are physically ok, and have regular intercourse. I know of cases where perfectly healthy couples took years before finally conceiving. It does help to monitor your ovulation cycle and have intercourse prior to that. Usually ovulation occurs around 11-14th day (starting from the first day of your menstural period) - but for some women, it can start as early as 8th day. Those who have very irregular menstrual cycles, its hard to predict as well. I'd say give yourselves a year or 18 months, before getting seriously worried and at that time, both of you should get yourselves checked out properly by doctor (he for sperm-count and quality, and you for several internal things that can affect fertilization). Hopefully, it won't come to that, and pretty soon you'd have khushkhabri, Insha Allah.

Too much information, I know, but looking at your first post here, there is really no way of knowing how much you already knew, and how much is new information for you.
