I like my work, but it would be nice to know if I ever got fired or laid off, or sued, I have another person to rely on. I don't think I would stop. Maybe if I felt like I wasn't getting enough time to spend with my kids watching them grow, I might switch to part-time or move to volunteer work, or fudge my schedule somehow.
But, no, that extra money I earn can just go into their future, into paying to support my parents, etc. That money will probably get wisely used for someone in the family that needs it.
