^Its hard to know even from the family. Among the old friends and colleagues I met this time during vacation, 2 acknowledged to me that they are only waiting for the stipulated time to take citizenship and then are going to seek divorce. A third one is seeking divorce now. When I asked why did you marry them in first place and why spend 7-10 years of their good age with someone only to divorce. All claimed that they intended to be happily married but they are not respected by their wives. Now I don’t know how much of it is true.

On the other hand, one married a girl from states, who forced him to go with him to states and get immigration, he stayed for 2 years doing odd jobs, then told her he wont stay and wants to get on with his career in Pakistan. She refused to come back. He came back and now married to another.

were the guys families aware of this too? did they do a big wedding function? or did they try to do a very simple wedding?
