For girls or young women - the ease with which they can choose a part arranged-part love marriage is still a far fetched dream on average.

So what do we do, where do we go from here as honest, decent young Muslim immigrants in western societies? We all have to marry, or most of us want to or will have to - but if the fears and worries are over bearing what will be the end in sight? How realistic can we be in managing family’s expectations as well as find some one who is compatible for us?

I think we appreciate the fact that we are young and indeed in need of guidance from our parents. But sometimes they tend to forget that we came through them but are not of them.

It’s a very fine balance, we can only try our best not to rock the boat.

I find myself in a similar predicament to yours.

I will say that Love one is better, cause I if you find your loving one then your life will be more romantic,sexy. In arrange one it is totally depend upon your luck may be she will more then your love.
In Pakistan I didn't think you can't find someone who will fully upto mark. Marriage are written on heaven. what is your part written you will have it.

Love or Arranged - you can argue endlessly. Either choice does NOT guruantee anything. Love may fade away, there may not be understanding after marrige. Either can become true after marrige.
Apart from knowing what ... (more accurately WHO) .. you want (at this point in time) - you should look for other (generally) universal truths such as Gurls will become their mom, and guys will attain the traits of their fathers. Family ethics and priorities etc.
Even after the all considerations - keep in mind - Marrige takes lot of work and patience.
