do you need to get a marriage license in order to get married in pakistan?
is there a specific legal process?
i know in canada, you have to obtain the license 3 days prior to the nikkah and after the nikkah is completed, register the marriage
if anyone can elaborate on how it is done in pakistan.

in pakistan i dont think u have to do any thing prior to nikkah. you have to register it after and i think the molvi who read nikkah do all the registration thing and then gave two copies and keep one with him. thats all what i know.

You don't need a lisence unless you are eloping (court marriage) in Pakistan. For your case, the moulvi sahib who does the nikah brings the neccesary paperwork. and you ahve to register it.
