A big part of marriage relation is sex, but not the only reason men or women marry.

I was going to start a thread along the same line if that is really true that women have not much desire and are portrayed
as if they detest sex and men just 'force' their will on them.

Many jokes and usual talk revolves around this misconception.

Hint: Headache/aspirin and other jokes. :D

need for pleasure and desires exist in women too

I dont know how true it is scientifically or logically .. only a woman can tell if a survey was done .. that apprently the female has more desire for sex than men ..only difference is that women know how to control and do sabr…:hmmm:

Based on what I understand: Women and men both have desire and both could be equally oversexed (nymph) or repressed based on upbringing/cultural background.

Men usually get away being outspoken, women are expected to be shy/quiet about it.

those jokes are usually shown when men do absolutely nothing for the woman. he thinks along the lines of the threadstarter in that only he has desires, the woman is there just to satisfy them. when nothings done for her by him in the lines of "pleasure", the aspirin starts to seem more appealing....hey atleast she'll get a good night's sleep if not a night of unbridled pleasure :D.
that's how they've usually shown it in the movies.
