ISLAMICALLY to we beleive whoever we marry, we were MEANT to marry, and that whoever we DONT marry, we were not meant to…
so for eg..its happened where my aunt had a rishta from my uncle whom at first they rejected, and she nearly married someone else, but somehow that didnt work and then 5 yrs later the same man ( uncle) came for rishta again and they got married..
other times people have come close to marriage but endded up marrying different people…or the mangni breaks…so does this mean it WAS MEANT TO HAPPEN…like fate and destiny and all…or not?
Well this is a complex question about fate, destiny and then free will.
Everything is pre-ordained for human beings but they're also given free will - on top of that dua'as have power to bring change to your kismat. Pretty complex and I'm still trying to understand it all.
They're not "made in heaven" as you say, because this implies that all marriages are successful, which is not the case. Rather, it is more proper to say that all occurrences - marriages, divorces, births, deaths, successes, failures, everything both happy and sad- are controlled by Allah swt and we should accept whatever happens as the will of allah: perhaps to make us stronger, perhaps to make us humble, perhaps to reward us for even the smallest act of kindness.

Marriages are not made in heaven… they cannot be made in heaven. Heaven is the “destination” you TRY to REACH once you get married. At times it’s impossible to reach your destination.
