Do you consider marriage as a bond between individuals or is it something where family members play an important role? In other words Marriage is a bond of individuals or family?
If you love someone so much that even if, your family doesn’t approve, will you go for it or will you keep family in mind before getting deep into relation which might end up in marriage.
family - just bc you are married doesn't mean you cut off ties to your family. so why would you expect your spouse to do so? and if you are close to your family, wouldn't you want your spouse to part of it too?

Would listen to their concerns but ultimately it would be my decision and if their reasons were petty I would still go for it..
For me, marriage is a bond between two individuals.. For others (esp in arranged situations or living in a joint setup) obviously it can be the coming together of two families.. Each to their own..
It’s a legal relation of two individuals and joint relationships between two families as whole.
I think marriage is a self act which we do with help, guidance, instruction, and backup support, of both families.
