I got married when I was 28 .... Thank God ...... earlier than that, I don't think I would have had the patience to compromise enough and make the marriage work.

I think by mid to late twenties you are able to make sense of the world and yourself. The idea of people getting married earlier than that irks me.
I don't think everyone can work a marriage well in their early 20s/late teens. And especially if they are both that young, well, God help them. But then I am also not a fan of huge age gaps, either.

I'm gettin married in two years (Inshallah) but it won't be so i'm the right age or whatever - it'll be down to the circumstances of finishing respective degrees and family being financially capable of getting me married :) also It's true that it's all down to Allah SWT! Doesn't matter what age you want to get married at!

At what age did you get married or are considering getting married or at least engaged and what would be their age?
I think 26 is a pretty good age to get married for a guy and a girl to be round 24.

my friend just got married today..lol and she had just turned 19..and omg when i saw her on the stage..i knew this was too early..she looked so young and not ready to be making this transition :(

I met 85 year old woman and she and I talked for a while. She was with her husband who was 89 year old.
During the conversation I asked a specific question about her to this man.
He said:
"I do not know, ask her, we are married only for 3 months. "

I grew up thinking 22-24 was the right age to get married, but as I've grown older and seen the real world, I really don't think you can put a number next to these things. It's all about mentality.
