**New York: A day after the historic Facebook IPO, founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg updated his status Saturday to “married.”**The 28-year-old Facebook founder and CEO has wed longtime girlfriend, 27-year-old Priscilla Chan, capping a busy week for the couple. His Facebook profile page showed the two married Saturday and included a photo of the newlyweds.Zuckerberg took his company public in one of the most anticipated moves in Wall Street history Friday. And Chan graduated from medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, on Monday, the same day Zuckerberg turned 28.The couple met at Harvard and have been together for more than nine years.

You know the first thing that came to my mind when I read this news... if a billionare can get married in a simple manner.. in his backyard.. nothing lavish. Why do we regular people want expensive, lavish weddings.. Just saying what came to my mind. Congrats to the happy couple.

i agree but i guess because he gets to experience that life everyday whereas regular people want to be in that world for few days. and i doubt his backyard is like that of regular people.

hmmm… this might resonate strongly with his critics who found his hoodie to be indicative of his “maturity” or lack thereof.
Kudos to him on keeping this low key… from what I’ve heard from a colleague who’s met him a couple of times, he doesn’t flaunt his success :k:

hmm.. well he has a $7million home, so no.
You are probably right about the value of his home. I thought he rented based on what the wife told me. Anyway 7 million in that area is equivalent to much lower elsewhere. Not too lavish. But overall his company promotens living closecand biking to work etc. Will do my own checking.

Facebook has enough IP and treasure chest of patents that it will do just fine.
It is currently valued at about 110 billion dollars. What in your opinion would its rate of return be going forward - over next Gerard next 5 yrs and next 10 yrs

it needs two to tango and in 99.99 % cases - its the women lot - who doesnt compromise on any thing less then lavish !

It boggles my mind that someone living in another country cares what some businessman in the US is doing. Same with Kardashians and people in Pakistan worrying about their lives. Don't have any local celebrities to worry about?
