Because if she doesn’t downplay her eagerness the guy could very well think she’s has prior experience.
Frankly, and this may sound a bit naive but I don’t think there should be any of these stupid mind games between a couple. Isn’t one of the best parts of being married being comfortable and open with your spouse, and not being afraid of them judging you for something like this. But of course our culture ruins that too.
