Marines want to go home

One Marine told me: “I’ve had enough of being fired at from all directions, I just want to go home”.

He probably wants to go back home and win the war on his PS2 playing Command and Conquer…I bet Americans suck at that too .

Thap for every one who wants to come back, there are 10 more waiting to go over. If nothing else, for duty free shopping.

I bet a lot of Iraqis also want to come to the US. It's a nice country you know. It is onlyl natural that some Marines miss their home. It's not that they have to go to Karachi or something.

Re: Marines want to go home

“general uncle, can we go home now…?” :bummer:

Yeah man but when I wanna go home it’s to visit friends and shop, but these poor marines have had enough of being shot at……:teary3:

I bet they’d trade Basra for Karachi right now, slighty higher chance of getting killed in Karachi though…

I think Kandhar will be better and they will love it

Re: Marines want to go home

 Sorry, but what did he expect? Iraqi people would throw flowers at him?

Re: Re: Marines want to go home

Well the plan now is to put Basra and Baghdad under siege. This basically means cutting off water, electricty and food…if they don’t throw flowers, they can expect to be starved and bombed until they do.

I hope they'll expect wilted flowers.

Re: Re: Marines want to go home

I think the only flowers American soldiers should expect are the flowers from visitors at their funerals.

Yes mommy I am very afraid I want to go home there is no NA to hide behind! look mommy they are shooting :2guns: at me mommy mommy please.. :crying:

What did you expect you pussies… abhi tho khail shroo bhe nahin howa abhi tho summer bhe dekhana hey… Hey little girls when the mercury goes up in that part of the world you can fry your white butt on teh sand :hehe: I know coz I was there for 10 years when I was a little boy…

Conflict sapping forces’ morale

By Andrew North
With US marines in Nasiriyah

Marines are contending with tough conditions
Here on the frontline this conflict is taking its toll on morale. I can see the signs in the US marines I am with outside Nasiriyah. Quite a few of the troops have said to me that this isn’t what they were expecting. They have had a tiring week of guerrilla-style fighting and it continues. They are frustrated that their political masters gave the American public the impression that it would be easier than it’s turned out to be.

But, also that they should have given them more expectation about Iraqi resistance like this. They don’t want to admit they can’t deal with it, but I think there is definitely a sense that it is not the kind of fighting that they were really trained for. One Marine told me: “I’ve had enough of being fired at from all directions, I just want to go home”.

Last evening CBC news showed a marine... he looked so tired and sad... they don't have enough to eat nor can they sleep because of the constant worry of attacks... they might now realize how it is for the Iraqis...

That'll be the day.

awwwwwwww

poor kids, just the other day we were speaking about the draft in one of my classes and everyone mostly the guys said they were gonna run away to Canada, man take about heroic

forget about asking any of these guys to strap a bomb to their bodies

Thap I feel there pain, these guys wanna go home

Man when a Muslim dies his family would start saying Allah u Akbar and thanking God, and on Iraqi TV they are showing naats and heroic people and when bombs start to fall they are all in the Masjid doing Takbir

Yeah right an American would ever have this much faith.
