23rd march 1940 was the day when resolution was passed in Lahore to carry on the struggle for getting a separate state for muslims of subcontinent. 14 August 1947 was the day when Pakistan was declared an independent country along with India.

26 December 1971 was the date when Bangladesh declared independance from Pakistan and became a sovereign country. Before that it was East Pakistan.
