would a 'win' in this match any respect for the team? I don't think so, they can score 500 for all we care, but would that increase chances of going to super-8?
I haven't had chance to follow any game in this WC yet, so I wouldn't be watching this one too, feel sorry for those who watched us getting kicked out of WC.

Who cares, a defeat will be better because I don't want any excuses for the head rolling which is going to follow. A patheic performance deserves a pathetic end.
Go Zimbabwe complete our annihlation. Oops!!! wait you don't do anything, we will humiliate ourselves, just throw the ball straight at 20mph and see our superstars nicking it to the wicket keeper.

WI will lose all its matches, Pakistan will win over Zimbabwe and we will be in super 8 inshallah with the net run rate :D
WRONG INFORMATION ALERT !!
Even in the unlikely scenario you described, Pak will not get into Super 8.
Why ?
Simple...If WI lose against both Ireland and Zimbabwe, both Ireland and Zimbabwe will have more points than Pakistan regardless of the result of the Pak- Zim match.....
So Pak is, as a matter of fact, not 98% or 99% (as it is being reported at some places) but 100% OUT of the WC.
