A well deserved victory for Pakistan. Im glad that they are leaving on a high...and Inzi's sad farewell.. :( couldnt believe I saw him in tears :( it brought tears in my eyes seeing him like this...you could tell he was so disapointed...I wish luck would have been on his side.
Imran Nazir is worth preserving with. He finally showed some sense today...and he gave a chance once he was in his 80's and a one after he got his century. He scored those 60 runs off 22 balls. Apart from him...no one else even got a half century...so you have to give him credit where its due. You can't drop a guy who scored 160 in the last game..and even against Ireland he had the 2nd highest score in the team and showed some restraint. He's a talented fellow...a little more coaching and some better shot selection and he's the one for the future.
Yeah he's flashy..but so are other openers too. Jaysuriya, Sehwag, Gilchrist, Vincest, De Villiars(sp?) The best way would be to groom a young and sold opener along with him who can rotate the strike and not another flasher like Akmal. Maybe Butt, or Hameed or whoever. As the commentator said...we saw a glimpse of the real Pakistani team today...I hope we get to see this 'real' Pakistan team more often.
by the way, did you guys hear Imran Nazir say 'new captain Younis Khan' somewhere in the middle...cuz I didnt understand too much of what he said...but that part slipped out of his mouth :p

:( I'm still having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that I won't see Inzi in ODIs.
I for one have grown up watching him... the legends before him are just that to me... legends that I hear about... but Inzi is one player who's made it worthwhile for me to watch Pak cricket.

we will miss him. A fine batsmen who saved Pakistan from losing tons of times, who has a wonderful batting record. Although he wasn't a great captain like Imran Khan but he was the only available one who could handle such a team (Shoaib Akhtar, Shahid Afridi etc.) - keeping unity in the team.
He successfully faced Hair issue all by himself.

With this very active forum (GS) and the huge membership that we have, I think it would make sense to approach them and ask them to visit us once in a while, it would be fun interacting with them once in a while.

Some players remem for their sports tht they play and inzi is 1 of them.
Kash inzi ka end bhi itna shandaar hoota jitna imran ka hope we hve enjoyed wht he gave us all we remem him 1 of best cricketers..

End of an era!
Inzi leaving the field with tears in his eyes and yousuf taking wicket on his first ball and celebrating were priceless moments and will be hard to forget .
