As I said earlier, I think they are just the recommendations which came out and that's it. PCB hasn't taken any actions and the way they work I won't be surprised if nothing happens.
Geo and other channels are just trying to sensationalize this whole issue.
Sites like Cricinfo only put this stuff online when it is 110% confirmed.

^^ I am all up with the punishments. Even though we might not be able to defend the cup. Some of the loosers especially, Afridi, Malik, and Akmal Brothers needs proper spanking. They fully deserve the harshest of punishment. All of them in their part brought disgrace to the country and cricket.

my predictions: Afridi and Akmals will be fined heavily. Malik and Rana to be fined even more heavily with suspended bans/probation for them.
Afridi to be made captain for t20 wc and razzaq vc.
There has to be substantial evidence for these kind of allegations. Either way what a shame to be in the news for things that are not happening for the first time.

that's the beauty of the whole thing. where was the PCB when Afridi, Yousuf, Akhtar and Razzaq were constantly trying to screw over Malik when he was made captain? if you're going to discipline ppl, you do it consistently and all the time. no picking and choosing.

I have no idea about Maulana Yousuf, cause I dont have desi tv at home :(... I am not saying that he would not have done it. But thats the new media thing now right??. Everyone can without any sanity level can come over the media and blab about anything they want.

I would suggest to everyone just to be careful and not go personal about the cricketers. After all, they are Muslims and so I'm afraid talking about their personal characteristics could fall into back-biting which is a very huge sin in Islam and our good deeds will be given to the person we back-bite against.

I hope that PCB does not get carried away with the operation cleanup. I am all for heavy fines and punishments. but they MUST not forget upcoming T20 cup! They have to keep a nice balance between pleasing NA gashtis and media as well as keeping fabric of our good T20 team.

I'll be happy and satisfied with all the fines/bans IF Yousuf gets a bigger fine and a bigger ban then everybody else. Before he was made captain, things weren't half as bad...and Yousuf is no Imran Khan as captain that we should take all this bull**** and nonsense coming from him. Yousuf said he thinks Pakistan did well in Australia and he did good as captain...seriously, after getting murdered 0-9 he has the stupidity to come up with such comments and wants to continue as captain, it makes wonder what he would have said and acted like had he, god forbid, beat the Aussies 9-0?

Yeah I know that...but Malik was part of the test and ODI team. They're both supposedly being banned for a year for discipline breaches...shouldn't Malik be banned more because supposedly he's being causing problems since the NZ tour? I mean if he is supposedly breaching discipline so much then he must have done something during the test series too?

decisions are due today. Butt has made it clear that he would showing his butts to all of the players involved in nonsense. So apparently Malik and Rana are a goner for sure and Afridi would loose captaincy, but he will be in the team, thus bringing more chaos and politics among the team. Akmal brothers for their drama episode during the Australian tour will have hefty fines.
