What was the reason behind these wars? Who was the ultimate loser due to these wars?

Only dead had seen the end of war:), the ultimate loser were Indians:D, as after toppling Mughals, Marathas lost to Afghans:D in third battle due to their overconfidence:D

But then who lead the Marathas? Because the Great Maratha ‘Shiva ji’ died in 1680, 23 years before the death of Aurangzeb in 1703.

Their Brahmin ministers usurped the power, they are called Peshwas, Another classic example of Fighting pundas annihilating their opponents:D

Shambhaji was tortured to death by Aurangzeb, it was aurangzeb’s way of killing, first ask them to convert to Islam and if they don’t agree, declare them bloddy Kafir and torture them to death, same was the plight of Guru Teg Bahadur and Banda Singh Bahadur too:)
