THARPARKAR: The drought and starvation are continuously prevailing in Tharparkar that caused the killing of 32 children and hundreds of thousands compelled to migrate so far while the generation of several precious animals on the verge of elimination .
The prevailing precarious condition is badly effecting dwellers life compelling them to leave the area but neither federal or nor provincial authorities pay any heed to redress their grievances.
The people, deprived from basic needs of life, demanded the concern authorities to provide them food on emergency basis so that further deaths could be avoided.
Reports said starvation and drought have badly effected pregnant women and children as well and if the steps would not be taken on war foot basis a human dilemma could be happened.
Misplaced priorities. Sindh’s culture is not all about dancing and doing halla galla. Its more about feeling pain for others.
One who claims to know more sharia than Taliban, should know that people like Hazrat Omar (RA) considered themselves responsible for hunger of even animals in their state.

Government of SIndh is working , CM of Sindh was himself in Thar before start of this thread . Billawal Bhutto is also taking interest , There may be some faults and delay on the issue . This is not good and require more attention to solve issues timely .
Thar ko pehlay hi aafat zada qarar dia ja chuka hay , Some 13000 wheat bags were sent last month . However there may be more need . Thar is quite different place with a very big area with a stranded population many thousand very small villages with 2 to 10 homes and even many of those are not permanent , Thar people are always in trouble very less rains and some time no rain for years like this time . There must be negligence on the issue and need more attention .
The 'war between Pakistan and India on water issue have increased tremendously. India is building Wullar Barrage with storage capacity of 0.30 million-acre feet that is an obvious violation of the Indus Water Treaty. Indias plan to build 12 hydropower projects on the Kabul River in Afghanistan, as per experts would seriously increase Pakistans water woes.
The federal government should take this problem with India and other concerned international organizations more forcefully because this would harm our interest being low riparian state. I fear that with the construction of Wullar Barrage and 12 Hydro-power projects on Kabul river in Afghanistan by India, it would harm Pakistans water supply. That is why the Indus delta the sixth largest in the world is on verge of unnatural death and sea intrusion on large scale has brought ruination in Sindh. In view of foregoing, the government should take up this problem with India, Afghanistan and other concerned international organizations vigorously and also ensure judicious distribution of water inside the country.

Our Relief and aid teams have reached Tharparkar with basic food supplies, milk and medicine. Will update more on the issue soon
