Maps Navigation on Samsung Galaxy SIII

Re: Maps Navigation on Samsung Galaxy SIII

This is what I've been saying. Most people in the US unlock their phone so they can use it on TMobile, the only other GSM provider with much better plans. They use their iPhone on that 2g speed and they say its "fine" because they haven't seen (or refuse to see) what they are missing.

iPhone doesn't really compare with any Android device. Even after JB'ing the iphone i always felt like I was tied down in a cage. With Android I can install all different ROMs with tons of features, different apps that can do anything I want it to do.
As for the next iPhone, there will always be something better around the corner. When I was using my Nexus One in 2010 there was nothing better. Now I have the S3 and that's what I feel about that too :)

Re: Maps Navigation on Samsung Galaxy SIII

I use my iphone 4S 64gig with t-mobile. at the end i save money so i can buy a factory unlocked one just because i don't need or use a data plan at all. i had 200 mb with t-mobile canceled it within 2 months i wasn't using it at all. plus it might be because of fan boys but iphone will hold up it's value. honestly i can say i have made up $3000-4000, buy buying broken iphones can fixing em and reselling em on craigslist. at the end its all about preferences, personally can't wait for the new iphone, if it's anything more then 4in im not buying i want a phone not a tablet. plus how are you going to fit a 4.5in phone in your pockets? is that a phone in your pocket or you just happy to see me.

Re: Maps Navigation on Samsung Galaxy SIII

^^ My Samsung Galaxy fits in my pockets araam se.

And it's all about personal preferences you're right.

Re: Maps Navigation on Samsung Galaxy SIII

If someone is going to be using wifi for the most part and only occassional email then they should put that disclaimer in before telling people that iPhone on Tmo is fine. I do audio and video streaming, deal with attachment on the run, my podcasts keep me in the loop, heavy duty web browsing is bread and butter. I can't be without proper data. Personal preferences are fine but selling someone on wrong info is wrong.

Galaxy S3 is 4.8" and as Niks said it fits fine in my front shirt pocket great. I don't know if you've been keeping up with trends but iPhone users are demanding bigger screen. The next one is going to be bigger. Better get in touch with your tailor to expand your pockets.

Re: Maps Navigation on Samsung Galaxy SIII

Ok ok I admit that Samsung Galaxy is a great looking phone and Iphone 4s looks like so 2011 sitting next to it. Also, as TB said - that because I use my data plan mainly for emails, the EDGE equivalent speed of my Tmobile based Iphone4s is fine for me.

I need to know the sound recording and mp3 playing qualities of S3 btw, in comparison to Iphone4

Re: Maps Navigation on Samsung Galaxy SIII

Tum logon ka gumshuda beta mil gaya, or woh bhi Houston mein :D

Galaxy is very good at doing things I will never really need to do so it's supposed superior capabilities in certain areas are meaningless. Usability matters, apple can't just be sustained by fanboys, they can move out of apple anytime they want. Give someone a good mix of usability, simplicity, style for what they will be doing and you have a winner, that's why Alienware is popular among some people not among others.

Re: Maps Navigation on Samsung Galaxy SIII

That's like saying Michael Phelps is good at swimming but since I don't swim he's not important.

No that's saying that a awd truck can tackle towing, lugging Cargo, tackle mud and steep inclines to someone who lives in a city and would rather drive a rwd convertible with paddle shifters :-)

Re: Maps Navigation on Samsung Galaxy SIII

So you use a feature, flip phone now?
Rly RWD? On snowy roads? Get a CRV atleast. :hehe:

The hypothetical example was of a city dweller without a need for SUV features.

Fact 1- For snowy roads an awd merc, infiniti, BMW sedan handle better than the lame CRV. For most city roads snow tyres on a RWD work just fine btw.

Second fact. Majority of SUV owners never go offroad just like majority of android users don't do the über geeky stuff that diehard android power users keep talking about. Majority of android buyers don't want to pay apple prices, or don't like the carrier.

Some android based device manufacturers are my clients do I know the market research first hand.

Re: Maps Navigation on Samsung Galaxy SIII

So in essence you're part of the "majority crowd" that don't do geeky stuff. You still like a stylish phone, I'm sure, that has capabilities and features that you may decide to show off or use. Get an S3 already, will ya!
S3 is available on all carriers and it costs the same as the fruity phone.

No, I have used it and don't care for it. I would use it if I had it and before any rim products because they are such a pain to use. If I had to go pick a phone and it was significantly cheaper I may think about it.

The android fanboys remind me of the alternative non conformist movement whether grunge or punk where all non conformists conformed to a look and style that it ended up being meaningless.
