Many killed in Lahore in an attack on Ahmadi Masjid

re: Many killed in Lahore in an attack on Ahmadi Masjid

i am really really sorry.

Well said Diva!

I think you are grossly mistaken here... I have several Ahmadi friends living normal life in Pakistan. They have friends, social circles, and a very normal social life.

Although there has been some persecution against Ahmadi community in the past... however apart from some brain retarded mullah mentality people in Pakistan nobody has any hate towards Ahmadi community...

These semi intelligent extremist mullahs hate everyone in Pakistan... including Ahmadis, shias, and sunnis who do not have the same extremist mentality like them...!!!

yazdi, just b/c you have Ahmadi friends does not mean they're not targeted of persecution. There are laws in Pakistan that specifically target one group of people, and that group is Ahmadis. These laws, as we know, have been used by illiterate mullahs and the govt to persecute this group for their beliefs.

Btw, only one other country in the world had such laws and that was in Germany against its Jews.

I am not saying that there are no unjust laws against this community or they have not been persecuted in Pakistan as a community. I was just pointing out a statement made by Aashiq that everyone hates this community in Pakistan. A vast majority of peace loving Pakistanis don't hate them. In fact except for a few retarded extremist nobody hates Ahmadi community.

As far as these retarded mullahs are concerned they hate everyone in Pakistan including a vast majority of liberal sunnis, shias, Ahmadis, christians, and any other community which is different from their own orientation...!!!

re: Many killed in Lahore in an attack on Ahmadi Masjid

yazdi

Everyone who is not calling the attacked places as the way the victims called them, i.e. "mosques" - is persecuting them.

Everyone who cannot condemn the murderous attacks without referring to Ahmedis as "minority" or "non-Muslim" community is persecuting them

Everyone who is not supporting an immediate repeal of the 2nd amendment i.e state sponsored bigotry, is persecuting them.

By definition a community against which there is a specific law, is persecuted - even if they are not killed daily.

re: Many killed in Lahore in an attack on Ahmadi Masjid

Being an Ahmadi, the past three days have been nothing but hell. Belonging to a very devoted Ahmadi family, I had expected to hear the worst about loved ones who were most likely praying in the 2 mosques.
It was 6 am eastern time as I was woken up by my sister. I heard a couple of words...mosques, terrorists, ahmadis. For some reason I didn't want to believe that all three of these words were being used in the same sentence. After all, the word terrorist alone is enough to send chills though your spine.
I came to my living room and saw my parents watching the live broadcast of the shootout on a Pakistani news network. I saw the Quran on the coffee-table, indicating that my father had been reciting it earlier. I saw my mother wiping tears as she tried to make sense of what she was seeing.
That horrible morning will be in my memory forever. Watching t.v. so helplessly, wondering how many people were in there and WHEN this would stop. Shortly after we got a phone call that my mother's chacha jaan, Ch. Hafeez Ahmad Kahlon, had been martyred. As my mother wept at her loss, I held her and wondered who else I'd be consoling once this ordeal was over.
Over the next 2 days we had many visitors, many of whom were visiting many families that had been affected in Toronto and the GTA. I heard such horrific stories that for a few minutes, the loss of my grand father seemed miniscule. A mother lost all 5 of her sons, I repeat all 5 of her sons. All married, some had children. My friend's cousin was at the gate of the Masjid in Garhi Shahu, he was one of the first to be shot dead. My family friend's father died after being hit with a grenade. His face was severely mutilated and unrecognizable. These are SOME of the incidents I heard.

Can I return to normal life after witnessing this? I don’t know. But what I do know is that for me, the definition of 'normal' has changed forever.

May Allah help the Ahmadiyya jamaat overcome this tragedy. May Allah grant these martyrs a place n heaven. May Allah rid the world of such hatred. Ameen.

re: Many killed in Lahore in an attack on Ahmadi Masjid

Express 24/7 is reporting that the terrorists have taken patients hostage inside the ER. gosssh

re: Many killed in Lahore in an attack on Ahmadi Masjid

Yup just saw that news. Really really sad :(

re: Many killed in Lahore in an attack on Ahmadi Masjid

Apparently the injured terrorist is being treated at that hospital. If this is true then:
1) Why would you not keep him in high-security/secretive area and away from others?
2) When a minister visits a hospital he is given top security. When a TERRORIST is admitted in a hospital, why doens't the goverment have regard for the security of the patients?

Have the official in Pakistani goverment gown up on crack that they don't realize such things????

re: Many killed in Lahore in an attack on Ahmadi Masjid

folks, pakistan is officially a banana republic... congrats..

I have no doubts that removing of 'anti-Ahmadi' laws will provide no help to Ahmadis. Extremists know them, they know the worship places and most likely know their businesses and residences, if the law is removed the extremists can still easily destroy them. Pakistani government, security machinery has completely failed. If we remove the law under question it will only accelerate the breaking up of Pakistan. Destruction will really not stop at "break-up" as the extremism will eat up the society like termites.

Completely agree. Pakistan's machinery has completely failed. Security is only made available to b@stards in national/provincial assemblies, their relatives and friends. The life of a Pakistani is nothing, simply.

Pakistan is not a banana republic, I don't think we qualify for "republic" of any kind.

I know how you feel, My best friend who's Ahmadi lost half of his family in those attacks.

Re: Many killed in Lahore in an attack on Ahmadi Masjid

^ OMG, your friend's pain must be unbearable. May Allah grant them sabr.

Captai 1, the current laws in Paksitan legitimize the persecution of Ahmadis. That's the root of the problem.
Terrorist attacks of all nature are strongly condemened before and after they occur. What I mean to say is that the possibility of one happeneing is condemned as well.
In teh case of the Ahmadis, announcements were made that such attacks would take place. Verbal and written, publicized threats were issued. THIS was not condemned. So that's where the difference lies and therefore the laws should be changed and to protect all citizens.

I am just wondering…There were protests all over Pakistan for violent attcack of Israel on Palestinians..but there is a muted response of Ahmadi killings..I just donot understand…Why can’t people protest for their own people…

It is just incomprehensible…
