Mein nai uss kou dekhaa hai

ujli ujli sarkoun par ik gard bhari hairaani mein

phailti phailti bheer ke ondhey ondhey

katoroun ki tughiyaani mein

jab woh khaali botal phaink kar kehta hai:

“duniya tera husn yehi badsoorti hai”

duniya uss kou ghoorti hai

shor-e-salasil ban kar goonjney lagta hai

angaaroun bhari aankhoun mein ye tandd sawaal

koun hai yeh jis nai apni behki behki saansoun

kaa jaal

baam-e-zamaan par phainka hai

koun hai jou bal khaatey zameeroun ke pur paich

dhundlakoun mein

roohoun ke afriat kadoun ke zehar andoz

mehalkoun mein

lai aayaa hai yun bin poochey apney aap

ainak ke barfeelay sheeshoun sey chanti nazaroun

ki chaap

koun hai yeh gustaakh

taakh taraakhhh…

yes i read somewhere about that fatwa, and death, Allah knows better but may be due to heavy alcohol consumption as it is the most valid info.

After 1936, he moved to Bombay where he stayed for the next few years editing Musawwir, a monthly film magazine. He also started writing scripts and dialogues for Hindi films, including Kishan Kanhaya (1936) and Apni Nagariya (1939).

yes he wrote movies on indian scripts till 1948, he was also close friend of ashok kumar and noor jehan's first husband shaukat hussain rizvi. He was a short story writer so many people of film industry at that time were against him, so he left movies and migrated to Pakistan.
