wait a minute…perhaps I am speaking out of turn so correct me if I am wrong but if I had just finished exposing some of the most powerful folks in Pakistan I would not be willing to go there either.

particularly if there was no assurance of safety in a lawless land…

That would be applicable only if the witness was to support Zardari/Gillani ran away because you know Zardari and Gillani are the weakest personalities in country.
