I dont see when they put their weight behind Mansoor Ijaz. Their statement simply said that the memo was a reality, and its contents need to be investigated. They did not imply that Mansoor Ijaz is right and Haqqani is wrong. Haqqani resigned because very likely he found a tinka in his daarhi.

Dont forget that DG ISI met personally with Mansoor Ijaz, and he must have seen all the ‘evidence’ first hand in order to ask for an inquiry. As far as Mansoor Ijaz visiting strip clubs is concerned, that is not under scrutiny here.

It is the Army/ISI that made this a big issue - all depending on Ijaz’s testimony.

If ISI chief saw the ‘evidence’, that means nothing, ISI are hardly one’s who rely on facts and honesty.

Haqqani resigned because Army pushed for it, as he had made remarks about their corruption in the past.

Unfortunately for them, Mansoor Ijaz has turned out to be a coward who is to scared to even come to Pakistan.
