'Mannequin' Reboot Signals the End of Days

The living mannequin Emmy might join the ranks of James Bond and Batman by having her history (which included the first film as well as Mannequin 2: On the Move) rebooted for a whole new generation. The original film stars Andrew McCarthy as a skeezy pervert who fosters an overwhelming sexual attraction to a mannequin. He’s able to turn the financial fortune of a department store completely around due to his painstakingly garish window displays before the mannequin (played by Porky’s Kim Catrall) comes to life and reveals herself as a reincarnated Egyptian princess and consummates their relationship on a pile of teddy bears. Meschach Taylor co-stars as a gay bonfire.

Gladden Entertainment want to give the reboot a contemporary spin with a hip, young cast. Yay. Moviehole is the harbinger of our impending cinematic doom, and you can see the trailer for the 1987 rom-com after the jump.
