I asked for a Mannat…i just wanted to know if i did it the right way or not…I know that its ok to ask for a mannat since its been mentioned in the Quran…BiBi Maryams parents asked for a Child and all…but what is the right way? do you just say that Allah i will do this and that if this prayer of mine gets answered? or is there a dua one needs to recite before the mannat..and please don’t get into lectures of how its wrong to ask for mannat from peer fakirs etc..because i know thats wrong and one should ask directly from Allah himself..how can someone who himself depended on Allah get our prayers granted.
Re: Mannat
Mannat is an agreement to yourself, it is obligatory to complete it except those which involve SHIRK. There are no specific word just you make an agreement to yourself that if something happen then you will do somethings.
It is suggested that you inform prople closed to you (specially to whom you can talk about it) about your mannat, this is in case that you forget and they remind you.
Re: Mannat
Peace teelobhain
There is mannat and then there is wasila these are two different things. Mannat like Bookworm says is a promise.
You can say O' Allah grant me from your bounties "flani flani cheeze" and I shall promise to give "flani flani other cheez" for your sake.
If what you ask for has been granted then you must complete your promise to Allah (SWT).
