I must say it was a good idea to have people call in and text message to raise funds for the cause. May Allah (SWT) make it a success, help those in need, and reward the donators, ameen.
However, what sort of bothered me was the amount of attention Manisha Koirala (sp.?) received by Moin Akhtar. I felt Moin Akhtar really ignored the other guests and all his questions and comments were mainly geared towards Manisha. If such was the plan, then why invite others to begin with? Did anyone else notice it as well or was it just my observation?
Rukhsarbibi, they mainly had Pakistani TV actors and actresses, such as Rubina Ashraf, Shafi Mohammad, Fakhre Alam, Humayun Saeed, Sajid Hasan, and the like. Of course they weren't all there at once. However, Moin Akhtar was the host and Manisha stayed throughout, while others took turns.
Yes, it was on GEO. Not sure if it was the American one. I think it was being aired from Karachi.
I think its because she was a special guest having flown in from India to help raise funds. You'd expect the home stars to do their bit for their country but when a foreign star does it, that too from Bollywood, its inevitable they will get more air time.
Shes a crowd puller no doubt, so its not surprising she is being given so much exposure considering the obsession with Bollywood stars our people have. They showed Manisha arriving at Karachi (?) airport, and heck, you should have seen the crowds that came to greet her (or more like, to catch a glimpse of her). Our people can be so stupid at times, pushing, shoving and fighting each other just to see some indian star, no matter how hot she is.
Well some of our people get really emotional and have the tendency to get carried away. On the contrary, Moin Akhtar should've been more respectful to other local stars and should've spoken to them as well. At one point, I believe he asked Rubina Ashraf as to what she would like to say to Manisha for coming to Pakistan for the cause. It was just weird.
First she is not kaali and second she is not Indian but Nepalese. I am not any big fan of hers or Indians movies but I just thought I should make some correction.
hahaha! I hate when they do that. Or when they ask every single indian actor, if they would like to come to Pak LOL…like what are they going to say on national tv, NO?

I don’t care about one or two movies but the obsession paki people have upto foregoing part of their life (especially true in Pakistan where people seems like have nothing else to do than watch indian movies) is unhealthy!
That was very nice of her to take part in the charity program. I think more Indian and Pakistani celebrities should gather to raise funds for the victims of the quake.
Even Indian people do the following when they see their stars. I’m sure Manisha is quite use to it by now.
Sadiyah.. i think moin akhtar was doing that for reason.. u have to welcome a guest and make sure that person doesnt feel that he/she in different country.. and i dont think he ignored any body.. he introduce all of them and did question most of them.... secondly.. i think manisha was very nice enuff to come for this cause..and the way she carried her self was awesome..
