We're all manipulative. Some more than others. Some manipulate for good, others do it only to cause trouble.
Most of us vent our emotional frustrations with others (relatives, in-laws, friends, coworkers, neighbors). Whether our venting makes a difference in the listener's attitude is another issue. It's out of frustration. Manipulation, on the other hand, is not simply just out of frustration. Manipulation is an act of deliberation.....it's an agenda. And that's what makes it scary...............especially when done with ill and selfish intentions.

Not even that. As I look around at women today, they're all too stressed out. They're like ... foxes on a hunt or angry bears or something. No one is relaxed anymore. They are becoming more and more materialistic, opportunistic, competetive, and they're like this with their families too. MY kid has to be ahead. MY kid has to get more than YOUR kid. MY husband this. MY husband that.
It's like...people do not calm down anymore. I mean, I know living in the west is living in a competetive society, but you gotta bring home that go-getter work attitude to home with you?
I am standing at the subway today, and it was unbelievable how many moms I saw with their kids just eyeing everyone else like "My family is gonna get on this train before your sorry arse does".
It's just ... calm down, women. Don't bust a vein over stupid crap.

As I remember once our teacher was telling us in class that the manipulation is one of the very first instincts that a child develops . We all must have seen kids crying in a toy store . Yes , they do play with our emotions to get what they want . So I won't say that only women do it . We all do it in some shape or form .
So it is like a weapon that we all have and know how to use . I think like any other thing it is the utilization of this tool . Generalizing it in a way that all women are like that is not very correct .

Manipulative women have no conscience. However, wanting the best for your kid and even being overly competitive to see who gets on the train first doesn't equate to being manipulative. Maybe it equates to being psycho but definitely not manipulative. And I guess they are overly competitive because they live in the West where everyone is caught up in the rat race to buy a 4 bedroom house and finally be able to afford a beamer which to them means the ultimate luxury car.
Manipulative women are those who usually have idle minds and obsess over other people and other people's lives and then twist and turn this and convert it into gossip for the community. Or they are those who pretend to be this soft spoken person who is very submissive but they in fact turn into a freaking hulk behind closed doors.

Oh I so wanna be manipulative, but not to the point that I turn into a bad person. But it would be nice to win an argument or two or get people to do things my way.

what the flip? the whole world doesn't revolve around you. nor does GS, even though you seem to think so, having just come to this thread from the 'maid' one where *you think *that everyone is ganging up on you.
not that i need to justify myself but I was talking to MILLY about the fact that Orpheus's joke was not understood. not by YOU personally but by the fact that 99% of subtle jokes, plays on language, etc etc are not understood by the posters here.
and no, i would not like to pm you to discuss your attitude which quite frankly has been discussed openly on these forums many times and it's your problem if you still haven't learned anything from it.
