It is an important responsibility of the sensible and educated people in a society that they reform it. It is very regrettable that the educated Pakistanis have become self-interested. Those who are highly educated try to deceive and plunder others, and are still considered intellectuals. They are taught practising prayers and worshipping and no more – thus they have no fear of God, dare not voice out truths, do not have an upright personality or the capability of distinguishing between right and wrong, are not able to feel the pain of others, do not know how to be content or be noble, and have no sense of social justice. Educated people in Pakistan involve themselves in words wrestling and proving others wrong, or misleading the general public. Accordingly, it is time to think about the causes of such a phenomenon.
Horrid incidents that happened on October 18, 2007 and several others in the past filled Pakistani civilians with great fear and sorrow – a sensible Pakistani with a sense of patriotism cannot stop bursting into tears. A few of them who still have the much needed moral values are broken-hearted and gravely upset; unfortunately, in Pakistani, telling the truth almost means you are inviting deadly trouble. According to widespread observations, those who tell the truth is often alone and those liars, deceivers, murderers and plunderers have a large crowd behind them.
The moral condition of Pakistani civilians are like the slaves who have been tortured or raped, faced cruelty of every kind and compelled to sacrifice their conscience. Having felt deceived, they have to live with it. They are not able to consider having others support them. No religion in the world would allow such sacrifice and unwilling submission. The greedy who have only their personal benefits in mind are making the common people suffer. The upholding of the rule of law and justice does not require the elite class, but depends on intent and virtues.
The Holy Prophet was very kind and humane for all mankind. First of all, he proved himself as a great human being - a great judge committed to the trust and care of mankind. After spending 40 years proving the all human characteristics, he began his prophethood. Secondly, He taught us to serve others by helping each other. Even though hypocritical social leaders, politicians and religious leaders have disappointed the general public, we should not give up hope. It is a sin or a “social crime” to be hopeless is a sin, so we must try our best not to commit such a sin.
Pakistani people have been doing activities like building houses, getting married or having children without distinguishing between right and wrong, even to the point of death. They perform their religious duties such as worshipping, praying and going on pilgrimage only for personal benefits and advantages; they have no sense of selflessness and an understanding of why things happen the way they do. Some leaders of the Pakistani describe Pakistani as sleeping. We must be united to save the country. Religion and territories within a country are for human, and secularism should be eliminated. We can achieve this goal by:
(1) Joining this club (The National Thinkers Club) whose members will be civilians. The purpose of this club is to provide a platform for its members to get together and exchange ideas on problems such as social problems, economic problems in order to find solutions to these problems. The club will try to provide all facilities like restaurant, study materials, computers, sports arena, swimming pool, horse-riding course and others which are only available to the elites of society.
(2) Trying to solve the social and financial problems of women by saving women with problems and giving them a respectable place in the society through providing the such institutions and facilities where they can learn, work and solve their own problems.
(3) Giving a sewing machine, a bag of flour or 400-500 rupees to widows, orphans, the disabled and the poor does not solve the problem of poverty; they would prolong their poverty instead. In addition, elites of society and politicians who give hand-outs only in religious festivals should think about what should be done during the other days.
